カンザス大学同窓会
今日は同窓会の懇親会の日。仕事は営業拠点から本社に出向いてセミナーの準備係。昼に同期と飯を食い、セミナー後に居室でG長と話してから、K本へ挨拶回り。その後本社を出て表参道へ。
6時半頃着くと、ほとんど誰も来ていなかった。何度か連絡を取っていたYさんにはじめて会って、雑談。そのうち人も集まりだした。
会長の安井さんのあいさつで乾杯後、KU代表としてチャイルズ先生のあいさつ。その後団欒の時間となった。
途中、KU生徒代表で女の子が簡単にスピーチ。団欒終了後、私が締めの即興スピーチ。続いてKU Alma Mater を歌い、Rock Chalk Chant、I'm a Jayhawk でしめくくった。
最後に記念撮影をして解散となった。

今日は7年ぶりに初めてのルームメイトであったTSさんに会えたり、TISさん、KZさん、坊主氏、SBTさん、に会え、楽しいひと時を過ごせた。KUからもアメリカ人が20人ぐらい来てて、ひさしぶりにまともに英語を話したね。
残念だったのは、前半ちょっとだらだらしてしまって、肝心な日本人と名刺交換が完了できなかったこと。でも何人かの方とは交換できた。おひとり、T大の先生がいらっしゃって、うちの会社の装置を以前使われていたと聞いて嬉しくなった。
今後、同窓会イベントは、8月、10月とやるつもり。いまから楽しみだ。
